If it is not possible to provide the information requested due to the information exceeding the cost of compliance limits identified in Section 12, please provide advice and assistance, under the Section 16 obligations of the Act, as to how I can refine my request. If you can identify any ways that my request could be refined, I would be grateful for any further advice and assistance. Thank you for your recent request for environmental information held by
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue received 18/10/2024 regarding Waste
Contracts.
As set out by the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 it will be
our aim to respond to your request by 18/11/2024. In some cases, however,
we may be unable to achieve this deadline. If this occurs, we will advise
you of the likely timescale within which the response will be provided.
Under the Environmental Information Regulations, we may charge reasonable
costs where required for accessing this information and may also charge

Waste tonnages – Our last monthly report is showing our tonnage as 1.642
Incumbent contractor – Suez Waste Management
Contract start – 24/02/2024
Contract annual value – approximately £12000 - waste levels dependent
Length of the contract – 4 years including extension options.
The Authority’s intention to extend – Yes we are intending to take up our
final extension option
Expected date for retender – 28/02/2026
