Response to this request is long overdue. Although not legally required to do so, we would have expected National Air Traffic Services to have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear National Air Traffic Services,

I was traveling alone with my 2 young children on the night of the 23rd of July this year. The flight was due to take off at 8pm but was cancelled that night. We were traveling from Luton - Ibiza.

I was advised by Easyjet ground staff at Luton airport. That i was better off to take a refund from them and book a flight else where as they couldn't rebook me on a flight for 3 days and i was entitled to compensation as they had canceled the flight.

I was later told by the airline that they canceled it due to ATC restrictions. and say the primary reason for this cancellation was outside their reasonable control. Therefore no compansation!

I have no proof there was a ATC restriction and when speaking to a solicitor he says there was nothing logged on this night.

I would like to see the evidence for my self. I'd be very grateful if you could let me know if there was or was not an ATC restriction/strike that night on my flight.

Yours faithfully,

Amanda Chester
