Warning to public in the event of nuclear attack

Ministry of Defence did not have the information requested.

Gary Cartwright

Dear Ministry of Defence,

Could you please advise me, under the Freedom of Information Act, what procedures are currently in place for warning the public of an incoming nuclear attack on the UK?

Also, could you please advise me as to which bodies are responsible for issuing and implementing any orders for giving such a warning?

In the case that there are no such contingency plans in place, pleased advise me as to when, and on whose authority, such measures that were previously in place were abandoned.

Yours faithfully,

Gary Cartwright
