Wall panels

The request was successful.

Dear Southwark Borough Council,

1) How many housing blocks managed by Southwark have curtain wall panels on the fascias of buildings?

2) Can you provide the number of these that are insulated by materials that do not comply with the guidance as given in Approved Document B.

Yours faithfully,

Danielle Gregory

Southwark Council - Information request

Dear Elizabeth Murray,

Thank you for your response to my FOI request regarding curtain walls and compliance with the building regulations. I have been on to your website which provides a list of all high rise buildings and the fire risk assessments. Myself and a number of interested colleagues have painstakingly matched these addresses with Google Streetview (see below).

We have noted a number of properties that we feel fell into our area of concern and would like confirmation that these buildings have been tested in accordance with your response and that those results are available for residents to view. This does not include all of those where panels make up the building wall which we are concerned may not be included in your response? We are more than happy to go through every single fire risk assessment you have on your website if this is too difficult for you to do in order to produce a definitive list however we assume that after the tragic events at Lakanal and Grenfell and the comments on your assessments this is something you would have to hand?

If this is so (and we assume it is given that many of these assessments were dated the early part of last year) could you please inform us as to where we can get these results rather than going through yet another freedom of information request? This is something we are sure that all residents living in high rise accommodation will want reassurance on;

Forbes Court SE19
Bradley House SE16
Maydew House SE16
Gould Court SE19
Lakanal House SE5
Marie Curie House SE5
Sherston Court blocks SE1
Morris House SE16

Yours sincerely,

Danielle Gregory
