Dear Mrs Jackson,
Thank you for responding so promptly.
Could I just check one point? The response says "Knowsley Council did not open any new statutory Allotments in 2009", could you confirm whether KC opened any new sites in 2010, please, (or was 2009 just a 'slip of the pen')?
Many thanks,
Margaret Campbell
Dear Margaret
The number of plots managed by Knowsley Council in 2010 totalled 127 see
table below. Plots are let as half plots and full plots.
The waiting list currently stands at 300 however a number of people are on
more than one list. The waiting list is only open to residents in
Knowsley there are no other restrictions.
The average wait for a plot will vary depending on the site. Plot times
range from 1 years - 6 years.
All plots in Knowsley are tenanted and a yearly inspection is carried out
to identify plots that are not being cultivated.
