Wait time for a 2 bed property band C

The request was successful.

Dear Epping Forest District Council,

Please could you confirm the expected wait for a 2 bed property for a person in band C.

Please could you also confirm whether the time is from the time in the band or from the time they have been on the council housing register?

Yours faithfully,

Mr Davis

Dear Stephen Tautz,

I am struggling to understand what additional information is required. Maybe this will help.

Please reference previous question asked and answered:

Freedom of Information Request Ref: 82
I refer to your recent request for information about the Housing Waiting List. The information you requested is as follows:
Q. Please could you confirm the average wait for a 1 bed council property for applicants in band C. Please could you also confirm how many people are currently on the register for a 1 bed property.
A. As of 16/10/2017, there were 776 applicants on the register waiting for a one bedroom property. The average waiting time for an applicant in Band C for a one bedroom property is currently 5 years

The information requested is the same question as this but for a 2 bed applicant in band C.

I hope this helps.

Yours sincerely,

MrDavis

Dear Mr Davis,

Freedom of Information Request Ref: 280

I refer to your recent request for information about housing register
waiting times. The information you requested is as follows:

Q.            Please could you confirm the expected wait for a 2 bed
property for a person in band C.

Please could you also confirm whether the time is from the time in the
band or from the time they have been on the council housing register?

 1. There is no specific ‘expected waiting time’ for a Band C applicant
seeking a two-bedroom property. An applicant’s success in bidding
depends on whether there are any bidders with higher priorities (Band
A or B); if there are no Band A or B bidders, then the property would
be allocated to the Band C bidder with the longest waiting time.

In the last five years, there have been 16 two-bedroom properties let to
Band C applicants, and the average waiting time for those applicants has
been four years.

The waiting time is taken from the date of registration, rather than the
date an applicant was placed in a particular Priority Band (with the
exception of Band B applicants moving from flat to house).
