1.D - How many of these properties have been vacant for longer than 1 year?
2.A How many people do you currently have to date on your current council housing waiting list? (6th March 2024)
2.B How many homeless families and or individuals have you received from London boroughs (out of area rehousing) in the last 5 years (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023)
- Additionally how many homeless families and or individuals have you received from London boroughs (out of area rehousing) since the beginning of 2024 (Jan 2024, Feb, 2024, March, 2024)

Good morning
Thank you for your request of the 6^th April 2024 relating to void/empty
properties and homeless figures. I have been able to partially respond to
your request and the details can be found below, shown in bold.
1.A - How many vacant council homes, including void properties do you
currently have to date? (6th April 2024).
1.B - How many of these properties have been vacant for longer than 3
months?
1.C - How many of these properties have been vacant for longer than 6
months?
1.D - How many of these properties have been vacant for longer than 1
year?
In response to questions 1A to 1D, the information you have requested is
not held. North Norfolk District Council no longer owns any council
properties and social rented accommodation in North Norfolk is owned by a
number of housing associations. You would need to contact them directly to
get information.
2.A How many people do you currently have to date on your current council
housing waiting list? (6th March 2024)
As at the 06 March 2024, we had 2,420 applicants on our Housing list.
2.B How many homeless families and or individuals have you received from
London boroughs (out of area rehousing) in the last 5 years (2019, 2020,
2021, 2022, 2023)
- Additionally how many homeless families and or individuals have you
received from London boroughs (out of area rehousing) since the beginning
of 2024 (Jan 2024, Feb, 2024, March, 2024)
In response to question 2.b we do not record the information in the format
you have requested. i.e. Applications from London boroughs
2.C How many people that declared themselves homeless to your council in
the last year, were not deemed a priority need and therefore were not
accepted onto your council housing waiting list?
If an applicant is assessed under homeless legislation, as “Homeless but
no priority need”, this would not prevent them from being accepted onto
our Housing list, they would still be accepted as per our allocation
scheme eligibility criteria but would likely receive less preference.
