Dear Caerphilly Corporate Information Governance Unit,

Regarding this FOI request, and your overdue response (we are now at the 25 day point), please note that section 10(3) only permits extensions for further consideration of the public interest, you cannot take additional time unless you issue a refusal notice explaining which exemption you are relying on and why within 20 working days.

Please note that "We confirm that we are processing your request and will respond in due course" is not acceptable and does no more than your original acknowledgement. Furthermore, it does not provide an appropriate justification for the delay nor does it specify when you intend to publish your response.

I would be grateful therefore, if you can provide your response as a matter of urgency within the next 24hours or I will have to refer my complaint to the ICO.

Yours sincerely,

Martyn Evans

Dear WWW: FOI,
The response is incomplete and has not met the original request that relates to the return of violent incident forms from ALL schools in Caerphilly.

The response lists only 50 schools, when there are 86 schools in the local authority. Why is information relating to the other 36 schools being withheld? If it's because no forms have been received from the schools, they should still be included in the response even if each column has zero entered against it.

Please explain why this information is not being shared? What is your legal basis for withholding such information?

Yours sincerely,

Martyn Evans

Dear Martyn Evans

Thank-you for your email received on 17^th December.

To clarify our earlier response, the list provided was where schools have
returned Violent Incident Report forms.

Therefore, schools who do not appear on this list did not submit any forms
during the period requested.

Yours sincerely

Dear Caerphilly County Borough Council,

With regard to your response in relation to this FOI request, please clarify the reasons for providing 2 sets of data for the following schools: Blackwood Comprehensive, Deri Primary and Fochriw Primary Schools.
Is this just due to an error by the Information and Governance Unit?
Are both rows meant to be combined to provide the actual data?
Or is one row correct and the other an error that needs to be removed from the data?

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Yours faithfully,

Martyn Evans

Dear Martyn Evans

Thank-you for your email received on 6th January.

We confirm that some forms were entered with a variation on the school's name.

The two rows can be combined to provide the total for the relevant schools.

Yours sincerely
