Dear Mr Sewell

Thank you for your request for information. Kent County Council's response
is as follows:

Please find attached the information requested in response to the
following Freedom of Information query: ‘Violent crime statistics per ward
in Kent for 2010 to most recent available information’.

For information the data we hold is financial year rather than calendar
year, so we have provided ward-level data for 2010/11 (April 2010-March
2011), 2011/12 (April 2011-March 2012) and the first half of 2012/13
(April 2012-September 2012). Please note the original source for this
data is Kent Police.

Further information regarding crime statistics can be found on the local
crime, policing and criminal justice website for England and Wales
([1]www.police.uk/).

If you are unhappy with this response, and believe KCC has not complied
with legislation, please ask for a review by following our complaints
process; details can be found at this link

our website. Please quote reference FOI/12/1449.

If you still remain dissatisfied following an internal review, you can
appeal to the Information Commissioner, who oversees compliance with the
Freedom of Information Act 2000. Details of what you need to do, should
you wish to pursue this course of action, are available from the
Information Commissioner’s website
