Vietnamese victims of human trafficking: Asylum outcomes

M Esslemont made this Freedom of Information request to Home Office

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was successful.

Dear Home Office,

How many Vietnamese victims of human trafficking applied for asylum in 2018, how many had their claim for asylum rejected in 2018, and how many were granted asylum in 2018?

Please note that comparable requests have been successful on the basis that asylum outcomes on individuals with positive Conclusive Grounds decisions (and their nationalities) are held on the Asylum Single Database (ASD) as management data.

Faithfully,
M Esslemont

Dear Home Office,

Please kindly forward this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review, firstly, of the Home Office's late handling of my FOI request 'Vietnamese victims of human trafficking: Asylum outcomes' (case 52661).

This request is overdue by more than a week at present, and I have been informed in subsequent correspondence that there is no revised deadline by which I can expect to receive a response to the request dated 4th March 2019.

I also wish to request a review for cases 52658 and 52663 due to the lateness of these requests. Please note that I will be happy to withdraw my requests for an internal review if adequate responses to these cases are received before the review process is triggered.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available at these addresses: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/v...
