Dear Sir/Madam,
Freedom of Information Request LBBD/56387
Thank you for your e-mail received on 30 August 2011. I apologise for the delay in
responding to you.
Please can you tell me with regards to your vexatious correspondence and complaints process
(a) How many times this has been used in the last 5 years:-
We have done this only once in the last 5 years.
(b) How many times in the last 5 years has it been used broken down by department.
As above, this was used only once in the Customer Services Department.
(c) Whether a warning system to advise service users of this procedure is in place.
For Complaints we follow our corporate policy. This has been developed from LGO
guidance. Our approach is to generally take a complaint through all 3 stages of our
complaints process and only then if the complainant continues to make requests do we
advise that the matter is closed.
(d) Whether there is any appeal process:-
Yes, the customer is given the opportunity to appeal the measures put in place by writing to
the Director.
(e) Has this been used in the last 5 years against individuals involved in the SEN Tribunal
process
No, the process has not been used.
I trust that I have dealt with your request satisfactorily. If however you are not satisfied, you can
request that your Freedom of Information response is reviewed. Any review request should be
made in writing and addressed to:
