Response to this request is long overdue. Although not legally required to do so, we would have expected Tameside Safeguarding Children Board to have responded by now (details). The person who made the request can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Tameside Safeguarding Children Board,
I am trying to ascertain the procedure you go through to ensure that any contracts you award to provide support for Care Leavers are fit for purpose.
In particular I am looking for information around a company called Safehand Liverpool who were awarded a contract in 2021 to look after a care leaver who was taken out of area to Liverpool.
In particular I am interested in what safeguarding and quality checks are made to ensure that the provider you awared the contract is fit for purpose.
