Dear Mr Jackson

Your request for information ref. SOT75232 about streets where vermin
complaints have been recorded during the last five years

We have now considered your request and a copy of the information that we
are able to provide is attached. However some of the information is exempt
under Regulation 21(5)(e) of the Environmental Information Regulations and
cannot be provided.

Regulation 12(5)(e) (confidentiality of commercial or industrial
information) allows a public authority to withhold information if its
release would damage the commercial interests of any individual, including
the public authority holding it. This exemption has been applied to the
street names contained within the attached documents. This is because the
local authority is concerned about the impact that the information could
have on property values in any of the named streets where there have been
higher recordings. We have instead provided a part-postcode which will
show the areas of the city where pest control has taken place.

The information supplied may be used for domestic or journalistic
purposes. Its use for commercial gain including issuing to the public,
social media or computer blogs may be subject to the issue of a licence
under the Reuse of Public Sector Information Regulations 2015.

I would welcome a list of streets (showing the relevant Wards) where the
authority have recorded vermin complaints in the residential properties
over the last five years (per year).

Response: Please see attached spreadsheets. The information held is
limited to street name, postcode and number of service requests received
from each. We do not record or hold the information by Ward. Please note
that “vermin” relates to mice and rats.

Would you please indicate the number of reports per street and the
property tenure where known.

Response: We do not record this information when dealing with
infestations.

Assuming there is sufficient time left to deal with this request could you
also explain any noted reasons for these infestations.

Response: We do not record or hold this information.

If you are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your

you should write to: The Information Rights Manager, Information Rights
