Vehicle Services Team

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency,

I have been informed by your complaints department that the Vehicle Services Department is now dealing with the issues I have raised surrounding the emails you are sending out to drivers to falsely claim that their vehicles need to be taxed immediately as you were unable to collect payment for vehicle excise duty even though you are fully aware that these vehicles ARE taxed as you have collected payment and by doing this, you are attempting to commit fraud by duping drivers into double taxing their vehicles.

I would now like the following:-

1. The full contact details of the Vehicle Services Department including email addresses, phone numbers etc. The name of the head of this department would also be very useful.

You have had over two years to put this matter right yet you have still not addressed the problem even though the DFT made recommendations that you are to change those emails as they are very misleading.

Given the time that has elapsed, I expect you to comply with the timeframe set out under the FOI act and respond to this request promptly.

Yours faithfully,

Mark Ritchie

Dear FOI FOI,

Giving a name without any means to contact that person is very unhelpful. Please supply a contact number for Rohan Gye so I may speak with him.
