Vehicle list

The request was refused by Police Scotland.

Dear Police Scotland,

Under FOISA, I'd like:

A list of all vehicles used/owned/operated by Police Scotland. The data I'd like is Registration number, Make, Model, Base colour, Marking type (Full high vis/basic markings/unmarked), Primary use (dog, public order, traffic, etc.) and primary location/base.

I would also like to know what equipment is carried in each type of vehicle, though I imagine this would not be in the same list.

Yours faithfully,

Ewan McLean

Dear Police Scotland,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Police Scotland's handling of my FOI request 'Vehicle list'.

I would like you to look again at your decision to withhold the following from my request on law enforcement exemption grounds:

Non-high vis vehicles
Primary use
Primary location/base

I note that other forces have made significantly more information available. As far as I know none of these areas have increased surges of crime subsequent to the release of this data. If these forces have safely released the info, why won't Police Scotland? I'm sure you can appreciate it might make the public wonder whether PS have something to hide.
