Vehicle JAMES information

Malcolm Smith made this Freedom of Information request to Ministry of Defence

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

Ministry of Defence did not have the information requested.

Dear Ministry of Defence,
I would like to know if you can provide the JAMES information for a vehicle reg number LN61AA. I have the merlin report but I believe the JAMES system gives more in depth details on work carried out and maintenance of the vehicle.
if this information is unavailable or classified could you explain why such information should not be available to the public?

Yours faithfully,

Malcolm Smith

Dear [email address] on behalf of Hannah Scott,

Many thanks for the infomation supplied regarding maintenance and other work carried out on LN61AA.

Is it possible to request further information regarding the service history of the vehicle. I was supplied the Merlin data about two years ago, but due to the change to the James system I only have the service history up to September 2006. the last unit shown on the Merlin report was 14 Signals Regiment (EW).
It would be interesting to know where the vehicle was used beyond this date, to the time of disposal.

Yours sincerely,

Malcolm Smith

Dear Ministry of Defence,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Ministry of Defence's handling of my FOI request 'Vehicle JAMES information'.

I requested further information regarding the service history of the vehicle LN61AA from 2006 onwards, which I understand is held on the James system. I believe that information from this system has been released for other vehicle so a precedent has been set.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/v...

Yours faithfully,

Malcolm Smith
