Dear Dstl FOI,

Thank you for the response.

In Dec 2016, the VCDS launched an initiative to reinvigorate wargaming across UK Defence. As part of this initiative, DSTL was tasked with baselining and benchmarking the defence wargaming capability. I am requesting that the following report: DSTL CR110806 Baselining and Benchmarking the UK's Defence Wargaming Capability, which includes the methodology, key findings, conclusions and suggested interventions from the activity, be reviewed and declassified in whole or in part as appropriate.

Yours sincerely,

James Smith

Dear DTSL Secretariat,

Thank you for the response.

Universities like King's College London have an important role in advancing wargaming as a social science, including through fundamental and applied research on wargaming, and this information would be in the public interest. Therefore request the following please:

Reference the document you sent, under summary of findings "Recommendation 4: "in-depth wargaming training and education review." - What was the methodology, key findings/conclusion and suggested interventions from the activity.

Yours sincerely,

James Smith
