I would like to make a Freedom of Information request for the logs of the overhead gantry signs speed limits on the northbound side of the M1 from gantry A4236a to A4351a, Duckmanton stretch on the 18/01/21 from 14.12 to 14.30 hrs

Thank you for your enquiry concerning speed restrictions on the M1
Junctions 29 – 30 northbound, on 18 January 2021 between 14:12 and 14:30.

 

According to our records the speed limit was set at 14:41:13 the speed
limit was set to 60mph this was due to congestion. The speed limit prior
to this was 70mph for the northbound carriageway.

Please note that enforcement of speed restrictions is the responsibility
of the police. We are unable to comment on or provide you with advice
about alleged offences because information held by the police will always
take legal precedence. This response is for information only and cannot be
used in court for challenging an allegation of offending.
