Variable speed limit on M1 Northbound J35 - J35A

We're waiting for Tim Larner to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Highways England Company Limited,

I would like to request information as to the variable speed limit signs that were in operation on the M1 motorway from junction 35 to 35A northbound on 26th March 2021 between the hours of 22:00 and 22:30.

I was received a speeding ticket for driving at 69 mph at 22:20 hours on the Motorway and I fully believe that the National Speed Limited applied, which is why I was traveling at 69 mph and there was no signs indicating anything different.

Could you please provide information in regards to:

1. The reason for the activation of the signs.
2. When were they activated and when were they deactivated.
3. Are all signs fully operational with no faults present.
3. How the speed limit signs were operated and managed at that time.
4. How the traffic control center actively monitors the traffic conditions.
5. How many staff were on duty at that time responsible for actively monitoring the traffic management system.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Yours faithfully,

Tim Larner
