Thank you for your email on 23 August 2018 concerning Speed settings on
the M1 southbound J35 – J34 site address 4620B at 12:56 on 14 August 2018.
The information you have requested we make available to the public on a
regular basis.

Your request has been handled under normal business practices and not in
accordance with the Freedom of Information Act/Environmental Information
Regulations.

 

May I firstly apologies for the late reply in dealing with your enquiry.
Your email did not reach me till todays date and I have asked the question
as to why there has been such a delay in your request reaching the
relevant department to enable the enquiry to be completed.

 

The following refers to settings for site 4620b on the specified date and
time requested:-

12:29 Temporary speed setting of 50mph and the legend “reports of debris”
were activated for safety reasons through the general area through
Junction 35 to Junction 34 southbound following a report form a member of
the public reporting “A big piece of bar in lanes 1 and 2 between Junction
35 and 34 of the M1 southbound”. CCTV Cameras were checked, in addition a
full sweep of the area was undertaken by Traffic Officers. No debris was
found in the carriageway and no further reports were received. Signals
were re set to the national speed limit at 13:05.
