Dear Mr Saunders

Thank you for your enquiry concerning speed restrictions on the M6
Junctions 10 - 10a southbound, on 15 April 2021 between 07:30 and 08:00.

According to our records the speed limits set were

07:08:09 - 40mph this was due to an incident on the network.

07:29:03 - 50mph this was due to congestion caused by an earlier incident.

Our cameras are for Junctions 10 - 10a and Junctions 11 - 12, this is why
I have gathered data from Junctions 10 - 10a. Please note that enforcement
of speed restrictions is the responsibility of the police. We are unable
to comment on or provide you with advice about alleged offences because
information held by the police will always take legal precedence. This
response is for information only and cannot be used in court for
challenging an allegation of offending.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. Should you require any
further information, please contact our Customer Contact Centre by
[1]email, or alternatively you can call us on 0300 123 5000. Please quote
the above reference number so your enquiry can be dealt with more quickly.
If you’re not satisfied with my response or how I have handled your
enquiry, please see our [2]complaints procedure for advice on what to do
