Dear Service Delivery NE,

Thank you for your prompt response. As requested please could you also tell me the reason for the reduced speed limit?

Yours sincerely,

C. Peacock

Smith, Richard, Highways England Company Limited

Dear Mr Peacock

The speed limit was in force due to the prevailing weather conditions. That day was particularly windy and we had restrictions in place for traffic crossing Tinsley viaduct. Gantry 4620B has the last signal on the southbound carriageway prior to the viaduct and was set to slow traffic as it crossed the bridge.
