Variable payments of appearance fees and/or travel expenses
Dear British Broadcasting Corporation,
A national newspaper has the following article:
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sun...
My questions are as follows:
"The BBC insists it can find no record of having paid Siddhartha Dhar for four TV appearances before he fled to Syria."
1) When were these appearances?
2) For a period of one week either side of these appearances:
2a) How many interviewees were featured from the studios in question?
2b) How many were not paid appearance fees?
2c) How many were?
2d) In 2b) & 2c) what were the reasons for payment or non-payment?
3) Does 'find no record' mean that it did not happen, or the question is being avoided?
"[The BBC] did not deny that the licence-payer had forked out for taxis to take him along to the studio."
4) Please confirm this was the case.
5) If so, what were the amounts?
Yours faithfully,
Peter Martin
