Vaping Related Admissions

Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust did not have the information requested.

Dear NHS Hospital Trust,

I am making a Freedom of Information request for the following information:

Can you specify how many patients have been admitted by your Trust’s A&E department as a result of vaping fluids laced with either cannabis, or derivatives like tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), or Spice and or similar synthetic cannabinoids, in the in each of the last five calendar years.

Can you also specify the total number of patients admitted as a result of vaping standard fluids, eg tobacco derivatives.

Can you also break this down by gender and the following age brackets: Under 16, Under 18, Under 25 and 26 and over.

Under Section 1(1)(a) of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), the Trust
can confirm that it holds information relevant to your request and this
has been provided where possible below.

 

 

The Trust does not capture this information at this time.  Since this
information is not currently held by the Trust, it is therefore not
available under the Freedom of Information Act.
