I am writing to request details for the following:

The number of Council run community centres within the borough.

The damage and cost that vandalism has caused to these community centres.

Areas with the worst vandalism to community centres.

Conviction/action rates for the people committing the vandalism.

Council run community centres, which we received on 24 February.  Your
request is being considered under the terms of the Freedom of Information
Act 2000 (FOIA) and we will aim to provide you with a response by 23
March.

I am writing further to your request for information about vandalism costs
for Council run community centres, which was received on 24 February.  The
response is below.

 

·         The number of Council run community centres within the borough.

 

Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council does not run any community centres.

 

Solihull Community Housing (SCH), an arms length management organisation,
manages 3 community centres.

 

·         The damage and cost that vandalism has caused to these community
centres.

 

Please see the attached spreadsheet 

 

·         Areas with the worst vandalism to community centres.

 

As per the spreadsheet the most money was spent on repairs to Alspath Road
Community Centre, which is in Meriden.

 

·         Conviction/action rates for the people committing the
vandalism. 

 

Solihull MBC and SCH have no records of such convictions.
