Value Of Sunk Costs Excluded From The April 2020 Business Case
Dear Department for Transport,
With reference to the April 2020 HS2 Phase 1 Business Case, the document states:
Economic appraisal update: the assessment above relies on the following:
Costs incurred prior, up-to, and including December 2019 have not been
included within the economic appraisal as they are sunk (except for some
costs relating to Land and Property which may be redeemable).
Please confirm the total value of the sunk cost that has been excluded from the April 2020 Economic Case as referred to in the final paragraph of item 2.32 on page 52 of the report.
Please also confirm the total value of the cost that is redeemable relating to land and property.
