Dear FOI Officer,

I am writing to you to request an internal review.

I disagree with the use of the commercial interests exemption. Due to the unique nature of the Covid-19 pandemic there will never again (hopefully) be a situation whereby health boards have to pay for large-scale vaccination centres, therefore there will never be a time for contracts to be renegotiated. I also question the likelihood of the cost of these agreements potentially resulting in commercial disagreement given the public health emergency.

It is also demonstrably in the public interest for this information to made public due to the requirement for transparency on decision making in relation to the pandemic and on value for money.

Dear Mr Matchett,

 

Further to your request that NHS Grampian review its use of the S.33(1)(b)
exemption in its response of 8 February to your freedom of information
request concerning vaccination sites, I confirm that it has been passed to
me for attention and that it has been actioned.

 

Unfortunately, I have been out of the office unwell for a number of weeks
and have not been able to complete that work. I would like to apologise
for the delay, but wonder if I could request your forbearance for a little
longer to give me an opportunity to complete the review? I anticipate
updating you on progress next week.

 

I’ll also take this chance to thank you in advance for your understanding.
If you have any questions or I can be of help meantime, please do let me
