Utilisation/Safety of private and volunteer ambulances

We're waiting for James Steady to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust,

Please could you advise me of the following;

What companies you have been using to support you during covid crisis - how much of this has been paid for by NHS England, and what category of calls have you been sending them to. Do you check their skill levels and utilise them appropriately, or are they all working under the “urgent care desk”

What safety methods have you put in place to protect these staff, after many assaults on ambulance crews nationally recently - do they have panic buttons or easy access to urgent support other than a telephone number?
