Use of spit hoods in custody

Dear Cambridgeshire Constabulary,

Please provide the following information.

1) Have spit hoods or spit guards ever been used during the detention of a prisoner over the age of 18 in custody during the proceeding 12 months?

2) Have spit hoods or spit guards ever been used during the detention of a prisoner under the age of 18 in custody during the proceeding 12 months?

3) In relation to question (2), if so what was the youngest age of the person under the age of 18.

4) Do you ensure that an appropriate adult is present at all times when a person under the age of 18 is taken into custody.

5) Do you ensure that an appropriate adult is present at all times when a vulnerable person/adult is taken into custody.

6) If spit hoods or spit guards are used, could you please provide:
a) any health and safety assessements on the use of hoods
b) any policy or guidence on when these should, or should not be deployed
