I understand that you are required to respond to my request within the 20 working days after you receive this letter. I would be grateful if you could confirm in writing that you have received this request.

Dear Carol,
Re: Freedom of Information Request ref: F19/0511
Thank you for your Freedom of Information request which was received on
16.01.2020 by the Trust.
Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted by Sandwell and
West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust to locate information relevant to your
request and is below.
• What is your usage of sodium chloride 5% (10ml) units in the last 12
months?
Response:
Data is from 23/1/2019 to 22/1/2020
• How many units of ODM5 have you used in the last 12 months?
Response:
We have issued 147 x 10ml bottles of sodium chloride 5% eye drops in that
period of these 111 are sodium chloride (preservative-free) 5% eye drops –
it is likely that all of these are ODM5® but as drugs are labelled
generically on the pharmacy computer system we cannot absolutely confirm
this.
• Who have been your suppliers of sodium chloride 5% (10ml) units during
the past 12 months?
Response:
The suppliers we have used in this period are AAH and Phoenix
• What price does your trust pay for Sodium Chloride 5% (10ml units)?
Response:
We would claim an exemption on the grounds of commercial confidentiality
with regards to unit price paid
I hope that the information provided in this email answers your query.
However, if you are dissatisfied with the response please contact the
Trust in the first instance with the details of your complaint so the
Trust can conduct an internal review. Please address such requests to
