 1. From April 2021, has East West used external recruitment agencies to
hire for permanent or contract roles?
 2. Please provide the total recruitment fees paid, and the number of
people appointed, for each of the following years:

• 1 April 2021 - 31 March 2022
• 1 April 2022 - 31 March 2023

 3. Do East West Railway Company Limited have any Preferred
Supplier List(s) for recruitment agencies? If yes, please detail the
suppliers on the list, and when this is due to be retendered?

I can confirm that the search for the information you requested has been
completed and I can advise you of the following:
 

 1. Yes
 2. The total recruitment fees paid, and the number of people appointed,
for each of the following years:

•  1 April 2021 - 31 March 2022 – 100 people were appointed and a total
of £5,180,021.32 was spent on recruitment fees
• 1 April 2022 - 31 March 2023 –109 people were appointed and a total of
£645.920.32 was spent on recruitment fees*

*Please note, this data is valid up to February 2023.

 3. East West Rail does not have a Preferred Supplier List for recruitment
