Use of NHS Services by Falkland Islands Residents

We're waiting for Bob Charles to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Department of Health and Social Care,

I understand that residents of the Falkland Islands, who are not UK taxpayers, are able to use the NHS for treatment for illnesses/injuries beyond the capability of their own hospital in Stanley.

Please could you detail:

1. The total number of patients from the Falkland Islands treated in the last 5 years.
2. The total cost of their treatment.
3. The contribution paid towards this by either the patients, or the Falkland Islands Government.
4. Whether this treatment is conducted under a formal reciprical agreement, and if so, under what terms.

Yours faithfully,

Bob Charles
