Use of identifiable uniforms within Trusts

Dear Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust,

I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information.

Could you please send me information regarding the colours of staff uniform which signify their position and/or the section in which they work. (Colour of tunic/shirt, colour bands etc)

Could you also please send me a copy of your Trust’s uniform policy.

If it is not possible to provide the information requested due to the information exceeding the cost of compliance limits identified in Section 12, please provide advice and assistance, under the Section 16 obligations of the Act, as to how I can refine my request.

If you can identify any ways that my request could be refined, I would be grateful for any further advice and assistance.

Navy with white piping - Ward Sisters
Silver with white piping - Non ward based nursing Staff
Blue - Registered Nurses
Green - Health Care Assistants
Burgundy - Allied Health Professionals
Navy with red piping - Matrons and Heads of Nursing
Red with navy piping - Director of Nursing and Deputy
