We used 1,750 litres of Glyphosate in 2018.

c) Has Sheffield City Council banned the use of any of these chemicals,
and if so why?

No

d) Please provide the Council policies on the use of Herbicides,
Fungicides, Growth Regulators and Pesticides in Sheffield Parks, Streets
and open spaces.

We don’t have our own policy of use.  Weed killing operations are carried
out in line with nationally accepted codes of practice.

e) Please provide details of what precautions are taken to avoid the
public and wildlife coming into contact with these chemicals.

All staff involved in the application of pesticides are National
Proficiency Test Council or City and Guilds trained, assessed and
qualified to work in commercial pesticide application.

Many of the products used on this project are done so in conjunction with
low drift nozzles, controlled droplet application and carrier substances
which penetrate the surface of  leaves, to reduce the amount of product
required without impeding the efficacy of the pesticide
