Dear Mr Baguley,

I refer to your Freedom of Information request dated 23 November 2017. 
Rushcliffe Borough Council does not currently have any geothermal energy
generation plant on its estate and has not undertaken any research into
the utilisation of this technology.  The second part of your request asks
for an opinion.  In accordance with Section 1(1) of the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 ("The Act") you are entitled only to information
held.  The Act does not cover opinion.  I am therefore unable to respond
to this part of your request.
