Use of force on patients and service users
Dear Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust
I write requesting access to the following information under section 1(1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000:
1. All policies and procedures which relate to the use of force on patients and service users within your trust.
2. Name and contact details for the 'responsible person' as required of you in accordance with the Mental Health Units (Use of Force) Act 2018.
3. Details of any use of force used by or on behalf of the trust between Sep 2016 and Sep 2022 including type of restraint used (physical, mechanical or chemical), duration of restraint and the number of staff involved in such restraints.
4. A glossary of the terms used by staff and the organisation or trust in relation to the use of force
