Use of Compulsory Purchase Orders
Dear Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime,
We are undertaking some research into the use of Compulsory Purchase Orders (“CPO”) by the public organisations in London over the last six years.
I would be grateful if you could provide the following:
1. Confirmation as to whether your Authority has made a resolution to make CPOs, and how many, for any purpose, in the last six years within London.
2. If so, can you provide a brief description of each, including the name of the CPO, the aims of the scheme, the number of interests to be acquired, the date that resolution was obtained, the date that the CPO was made (if appropriate), the date confirmation was obtained/is to be sought (if appropriate) and the date that the scheme is due to start/finish (if appropriate).
I would be grateful if you could confirm receipt of this request by email in due course. Please also if possible respond to the request in full by email.
We are intending, with the information provided, to publish an analysis of our findings. We would be delighted to share our findings with you once complete.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Thank you for your assistance
Yours faithfully,
Tom Hanman
