Dear Dorset Police,
I am aware that companies are selling technologies to law enforcement that allow them to take vast quantities of personal data from cloud-based apps and accounts. You can read more [https://privacyinternational.org/long-re....
I make the following request for documents/information under the Freedom of Information Act:
1. Do you use mobile phone extraction technology that includes cloud analytics / cloud extraction capabilities e.g. Cellebrite UFED Cloud Analyser, Magnet Axiom Cloud or Oxygen Forensics Cloud Extractor
2. Do you have other technologies that allow you to access cloud-based accounts and extract this data.
3. Please provide a copy of the relevant Data Protection Impact Assessment.
4. Please provide a copy of the relevant local and/or national guidance/standard operating procedure/policy.
5. Please confirm the legal basis you rely on to conduct cloud analytics/extraction.

Dear PC Lockyer,
I write in connection with your Freedom of Information (FOI) Request referenced in the subject of this email.
The request you have submitted has been seen numerous times under various other requester names. While normally FOI stipulates requests should be considered applicant blind, there is a necessity to satisfy Section 8 (1) (b) under the Act before a request can be progressed. Section 8 (1) (b) dictates that the request 'states the name of the applicant and an address for correspondence'. In this instance we do not believe Section 8 (1) (b) has been fulfilled given there is reason to believe you are not using your real name for contact. I must therefore ask you for proof of identity to be supplied to us before this request is continued. Please note we do not expect you to do this via Whatdotheyknow.com and would be happy to confirm your identity via another means of communication (an email to [email address] would be sufficient).
Until this proof of identity has been supplied we are not able to progress this request any further and it will be placed on hold for the next 20 working days until 06/03/2020. If we do not have a response from you by that date then it will be considered there is no further interest in the request which will result it in being withdrawn.
