Use of any surplus or profit from the Pyramids Centre

We're waiting for James L Pollard to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Portsmouth City Council,

I understand that the Pyramids Centre is operated on behalf of PCC by BH Live, a community charity which has a wholly owned subsidiary, BH Live (Enterprises) LTD which is a Private Company Limited by Shares, a number of the shareholders are Bournemouth Borough Councillors.

I am trying to ascertain how it is in the interests of the City of Portsmouth to have the Pyramids Centre being operated by a community charity/PLC, where the profit (or surplus) is potentially returned to a neighbouring local authority or the shareholders of a PLC.

Can you please advise:

Where any profit generated by the Pyramids Centre ends up?

Is any surplus for BH Live, the community charity, invested in Bournemouth or other jurisdictions outside of Portsmouth?

Is any surplus generated by non-charitable activities routed through BH Live (Enterprises) Ltd?

How much, if any, operating surplus is invested in the local initiatives and how many of these initiatives are within the jurisdiction of Portsmouth City Council?

Yours faithfully,

James L Pollard
