Use of agency staff within hospitals within the Trust

We're waiting for Ms Young to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Freedom of Information Team

1. Please can you confirm names of all agencies supplying into the trust directly or via the NHS Professionals platform (if used within your Trust) for midwifery staff, band 5 and above, nursing staff, band 5 and above, and band 4 nursing associates, including off-framework agencies. With the above information, can this be broken down by:

• Individual Trust, further separating information for each hospital within the Trust.

• Volume of supply (per month for the period 01/04/21 to 31/03/22).

• Total trust spend per agency (per month for the period 01/04/21 to 31/03/22).

• Total individual hospital spend per agency (per month for the period 01/04/21 to 31/03/22).

• By AfC banding of shift request and speciality of midwife, nurse or nursing associate including area worked in, for example, but not limited to postnatal ward, labour ward or for nurses and nursing associates, accident and emergency or respiratory ward.

2. Please can you confirm how many shifts have been filled by agencies supplying band 5 and above registered midwifery staff, band 5 and above registered nursing staff and band 4 nursing associates, at or below NHSI agency capped rates broken down by month and registrant speciality for the period of 01/04/21 to 31/03/22.

3. For the same 12-month period, please can you confirm the average charge rate per hour for band 5 and above registered midwifery staff, band 5 and above registered nursing staff and band 4 nursing associates, broken down into their specialisms for the following:
Weekdays
Night Shift/Saturday shifts
Sunday shift/Bank Holiday

4. Lastly please can you confirm the highest agency midwife, nurse and nursing associate hourly charge rate, and their specialism?
