May I take this opportunity to apologise for the lengthy delay in
responding to your request; the misunderstanding occurred when I received
two requests with almost identical subject titles, one was a collated
response for the FOI Team to process, the other (yours) should have been
processed by myself.  Unfortunately I closed your request in error and I
take full responsibility for this action.  Please, however, see our

1 - How many qualified social workers were working on a temporary (agency)
basis at the Council on Monday 3rd April 2017, analysed by:

a) Children’s Services social work roles   2

b) Adults’ Services social work roles        4

2 – What was the total spend by your organisation on temporary (agency)
social work professionals during the financial year 1/4/16 to 31/3/17.
