In accordance with section 1(1) (b) of the Act, our response is as

No information held, this is not something recorded on Cheshire Police

If I can be any further assistance in this matter, please do not hesitate

If you are not satisfied with the decision applied in this case I enclose

Dear Cheshire Constabulary,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Cheshire Constabulary's handling of my FOI request 'Use and cost of Police staff including PCSOs and Police Officers at Local Councillor Surgeries'.

If Public resources such as Police Staff, PCSOs or Police Officers are allocated to an event in the local community then there will be an offcicial log of that 'deployment' as well as a cost implication and who made the allocation request/deployment decision.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/u...

Yours faithfully,

John Peters

Dear Mr Peters

Thank you for your below email, however prior to passing this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews I have carried out a little further research myself, would be happy to hold off with the internal review at present as your request was actually due a response on or before 25/11/2016, I may be able to do some further checks to assist you.

If you are happy with my proposal may I also take this opportunity to point out that if Cheshire Police are unable to provide the information that you are requesting the local authorities may be able to assist you.

Kind regards

Sarah

Freedom of Information, Cheshire Constabulary

Dear Mr Peters

I have conducted further searches in relation to your request regarding requests for Police Staff, PCSO's and Police Officers attending Local Councillor Surgeries however it does appear that this information is not recorded in a retrievable format.

Cheshire Police do attend joint surgeries which are held on a monthly basis, this is part of the Community Engagement therefore done as part of Officers/PCSO's normal duties and used as a way of engaging with the community. I can confirm that there is no cost of such attendance as for the reasons set out above.

I hope this assists you with your enquiries.

Regards

Sarah
