Update to Public Right of Way Issues Reported 2018-2020

Ian Glen made this Freedom of Information request to Essex County Council

The request was refused by Essex County Council.

Dear Essex County Council,
On 18 June 2020, I submitted request reference ECC9119224 ' Public Right of Way Issues Reported 2018-2020'

Essentially, that request was a query of the back-end Confirm database to provide a dataset of Highway Issue Enquiries on the Public Rights of Way Network, for the period 1/6/2018 until 30/5/2020.

As part of that request, I stated "I would request ECC to retain the final agreed query" so that it can be reused, and thus limit any human Computer Programmer resource required.

In the 6 months or so since that request was submitted, there have been a great many updates made:
- the records (rows) provided to us in that dataset will have been updated, to record progress
- new issues (records, or again rows) will have been reported by members of the public, and indeed inspected and works progressed
- and new issues will have been reported by the Inspectors themselves

We would kindly request ECC to run the same query again, but this time for the period 1/6/2018 until 31/12/2020 (or if the query is run before 31/12/2020, the date on which it is run), and to provide me that data in the same format and structure as was provided on 17/7/2020.

Yours faithfully,

Ian Glen
