Dear Merseyside Police,

Good evening, Could I possibly have an updated vehicle fleet list including all new 17 & 67 registered vehicles including air-codes and what area they are based in i.e. Liverpool, Knowsley, Sefton, Wirral or St Helen's. Also if possible vehicles that have been decommissioned & disposed of due to end of service with the force or due to accident.

I ask this as I am a Police Vehicle enthusiast

Response Letter - FOI Application DM2017/0964 (please quote in all

I write in connection with your request for information which was received
by Merseyside Police on 18/09/2017 and subsequently clarified on
09/10/2017.  I note that you seek access to the following information:

(paraphrased) updated vehicle fleet list including air-codes and the area
each vehicle is based, also details of vehicles that have been
decommissioned

Following receipt of your request searches were conducted within
Merseyside Police to locate information relevant to your request.  I can
confirm that the information that you requested is held by Merseyside
Police.

To locate the information relevant to your request, searches were
conducted in the Vehicle Fleet department.  The searches located the
records relevant to your request.

I have today decided to disclose the located information to you subject to
the provisions of Sections 31(1) and 40(2) of the Freedom of Information
Act.

Section 31 of the Freedom of Information Act states that information which
could affect law enforcement functions is exempt from disclosure.

Section 40 of the Freedom of Information Act states that personal
information is exempt from disclosure.

These figures, compared to those of DM2017-0837 - 30/08/17, indicate that 67 vehicles or around 17% of the fleet has been disposed of in the last six weeks
