2014 1st October to 31st December.

2015 1st January to 31st December.

Dear Mr Morgan,
May apologies if my request was not clearly defined.
I was trying to compare the figures before and after the tax disc was not required to be displayed.
Obviously the 'out of date' and 'missing' that I included in the request is irrelevant
The FOI request should just read....

How many untaxed vehicles were reported to the DVLA by the public for the dates I quoted.

Yours sincerely,

Derek Speight

Dear FOI FOI,
Good morning,
I am grateful for the response, but find it hard to understand how, when a visible tax disc is not required,
more vehicles have been reported by the public since the change.

In 2013 for the full year before the tax disc not required there were 148,708 reports.

In 2015 for the full year after the tax disc was not required there were 162,919 reports

In 2016 to 30th September there were 197,177.

Are you able to offer an explanation of how the person reporting an untaxed vehicle knows it is untaxed ?

Yours sincerely,

Derek Speight
