Re: Freedom of Information Act Request ref: LBH/13706923
Thank you for your request for information received on 16 February 2023,
in which you asked for the following:
Information regarding unnecessary engine idling.
• The number of reports made since 2017 for engine idling broken down by
month if possible.
• The type of vehicle (e.g Coach, family car) idling
• The amount of fines issued, broken down by month if possible
• The amount of fines paid, broken down by month if possible
My response is as follows:
• Please see attached spreadsheet.
• Whilst we do record the type of vehicles, we are unable to extract the
exact number of vehicle by type, due to the way the information is
recorded and without compiling new information that we have no need to
compile for our own purposes. The Freedom of Information Act gives
people the right to access records held by public authorities, but it
does not extend to a right to have records created in order to provide
information that is of interest to members of the public. We do not
hold this information and are therefore not able to provide it to you
without going through each record.
• Please see attached spreadsheet.
• Please see attached spreadsheet.
If you are unhappy with how we have responded to your request you can ask
us to conduct an Internal Review. If so, please contact the [1]Corporate
Feedback Team. (Please note you should do so within two months of this
response.)
Yours sincerely,
