University - "spiking" data.
Dear Ulster University,
Please can you answer the following freedom of information request:
BACKGROUND INFO:
According to Police UK: Spiking is when someone puts alcohol or drugs into another person’s drink or body without their consent or knowledge.
People can also be a victim of ‘needle spiking’, which is injecting someone with drugs without their consent.
Spiking can happen to anyone, anywhere and can be carried out by strangers or people you know.
Spiking someone could be a number of criminal offences, which can carry sentences of up to ten years in prison; even when no other offence, like theft or assault, has happened.

MY REQUEST
1 - Please can you provide the total number of spiking allegations received by your university in the following calendar years: 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023.
Note: Please include all drink and/or needle spiking allegations in your response.

Further to your request, in which you have requested the following
information:
Please can you provide the total number of spiking allegations received by
your university in the following calendar years: 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022
and 2023.
Our Obligations
The University is handling your request under the Freedom of Information
Act 2000. When handling requests for information, the University’s
obligations include:
1. Confirming or denying whether it holds information of the
description specified in the request; and
2. Communicating the information requested to the applicant. You
should note that this is effectively a decision that the information can
be released into the public domain and not simply to the specific
applicant.
Under the Act, the University is required to release any information that
it holds to you unless an exemption applies.

The University can confirm we do not hold this information in a format
that would allow us to respond to your request.
If you are not satisfied with how the University has dealt with your
request, you may raise the matter under the University's internal review
process for FOI requests. Please submit written details of your appeal to
