University of Bristol - course code and search keywords to UCAS 2010-11

University of Bristol did not have the information requested.

Dear University of Bristol,

I would be grateful if you could send me in spreadsheet, machine readable electronic form or plain text a copy of the course codes, course titles and search keywords for each course as submitted to UCAS for the 2010-2011 (October 2010) student entry.

If possible, would you also provide HESA subject category codes associated with each course.

Yours faithfully,

Tony Hirst

Matt Morrison, University of Bristol

Dear Tony

We are just collating this information. One quick question - please could
you clarify what you mean by 'search keywords'?

Thanks

Matt Morrison

Dear Matt Morrison,

By "search keywords" I refer to the "Course Search Keywords" that I believe are associated with each course, as described here: http://www.ucas.com/he_staff/courses/cou...

If it's not too much extra burden, a breakdown by Main Keyword, Suggested keyword (SUG) and Single Subject, as described in the document identified by the link provided above, would also be appreciated.

Yours sincerely,

Tony Hirst

Thank you Tony

Dear Tony

Thank you for your recent Freedom of Information request.

On discussion with our Admissions and Student Information teams, it appears
that the University does not actually hold this data - it is held on a UCAS
database. UCAS are not currently subject to the Freedom of Information Act
(they will be in due course) but it may be worth talking to them directly
to see if they are willing to assist.

If you are not satisfied with the University's response to your request you
may ask the University to review the response by writing to:

Director of Legal Services
Secretary's Office
University of Bristol
Senate House
Tyndall Avenue
Bristol BS8 1TH
Email: [University of Bristol request email]

enclosing a copy of your original request and explaining your complaint.
Please include an address for correspondence. The full complaints procedure
is set down at http://www.bris.ac.uk/foi/publicinfo/rev...

If you are still not satisfied with the outcome of the internal review you
may also contact the Information Commissioner at:
