University e resources

The request was successful.

Dear Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh,

What IT Research providers are you using for your IT Services department, Academic Staff and Students? (research access through electronic for computing students/information technology)

Do you have a subscription with Gartner?

How much do you pay annually for this subscription?

When does this subscription end?

Who makes the decision to acquire, is it Library or IT Services?

Who can I contact to speak about providing technology based research?

Yours faithfully,

Dan Walk

Hi Dan,

Thank you for your request for information on the University's e resources. Could you please clarify what you mean by 'IT research providers'. And what do you want to discuss with someone regarding technology based research?

Regards, Gerry

Dear Freedom of Information Act,

I would like to know if the University currently uses IT research providers such as Gartner or Forrester for their IT Services AND/OR Students, AND/OR Academic Staff. These providers would usually provide information on technology so market shares, forecasts, information on vendors.

I would also like to know what position in the university selects e-resources. so is there a director of information, or CIO, or Head of Library. who are the people involved in decision making

Yours sincerely,

Dan Walk
