Dear Mr Haque,

In response to your Freedom of Information request dated 6 September 2017, please find below information relating to your enquiry. Please accept my apologies for the slight delay in responding.

Loughborough University has a two-year contract with Gartner. This is due to end in June 2019. We have taken the decision to withhold details of the contract value on the grounds of commercial interests, in accordance with Section 43(2) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (Information is exempt information if its disclosure under this Act would, or would be likely to, prejudice the commercial interests of any person (including the public authority holding it).) We believe that releasing this information would be detrimental to the suppliers concerned and could also potentially jeopardise the University’s ability to gain value for money. We are satisfied that in all the circumstances of the case, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.

The above contract is for IT Services only and not the entire University. There are no students based in this department; it is a professional service.
